I am currently sick on holiday. All I had was a Coke bottle. There is a balcony where I am staying so I took a bit of one of the plants and froze it over night
Ruby here from SLJ. I love how you are making great use of your materials to find interesting things to do! Did you put this back in the freezer or did you let it melt?
I think it would be so cool to film the process of this melting and then speeding it up! I wonder what the plant would look like at the point where this is melted halfway through the melting process?
Have you thought of trying to freeze anything else?
I'm sorry you're sick and I hope you feel better soon. Let me know some other things you've been getting up to.
It’s Charlotte here, a blog commenter for Manaiakalani. Awesome job on your work on the ‘Ice Art’ activity!
WOW, I think that the frozen plant looks beautiful! It is awesome how we can use ordinary items that we find lying around our houses to create cool pieces of art or even science experiments! I wonder what other things you could create from materials you find around your house?
Did anything surprise you about this small experiment? Did it turn out like you expected? Have you ever frozen anything in water before this? When I was a child I froze my teddy bears once!
