Here is a drum I made. I got a can and put paper over the top and taped it down. The reason it makes a noise is because it's hollow and when you hit it the noise echoes around the can.

What an awesome job you have done here, Cameron! I like how you thought about what drums are like and then made one yourself! I had no idea how drums worked before this, so thank you!
Did your drum make a good sound? I would love it if you could include a video into this blog of you playing it! Do you play the drums or any other musical instruments?
Mōrena Cameron!

Pai mahi, Cameron!
Ngā mihi nui,
Charlotte :)
Kia ora Cameron,
ReplyDeleteWell done completing the found sounds activity. Your drum is very creative, and you explained how it works so well, thank you for sharing that!
I wonder if you could make a whole ‘mini’ drumkit out of found sounds, that would be a cool creation.
We’d love to see a video of your drum in action and you playing a rhythm! Perhaps you could add one onto this post?
I hope you enjoyed this activity. I can't wait to see your next blog posts and creative ideas.
Ngā mihi,
Lauren
