Sundial

  1. Hey Cameron,

You've copied some interesting information and pictures from online which have some really good information (like the word gnomon) but we want to see your sundial creation.

A picture of your sundial along with a bit of explanation as to how it works in your own words is all that's needed to complete this activity and get the points for it.

I really like that you've used different materials and techniques to make your sundial but I don't know how well it will work without a clock face. Maybe consider including a clock face made of a single colour so the shadow and time is clearly readable.

Looking forward to seeing your next post Cameron,
See you later in the comments,

    Daniel

    2. Hey Cameron

Great to see you sundial now, next time it's sunny you could take it outside and see how well it works.

I still what to encourage you to do away with the copied information and photos and instead replace it with your own short explanation of what you did or how the sundial works in your own words.

Have a look at what Richie did from another school, he has included a picture of a sundial and then a list of materials and instructions, he also did the "Step it up" activity by videoing himself making it, which you could do as well if you wanted. https://gbsrichiec.blogspot.com/2020/10/building-sundial.html

If your not doing the video, that's fine just keep the picture of your sundial that you have.

You're doing really well so far Cameron, you are actually the champion for Kororo School at the moment, you just gotta keep it up to keep the lead.
